Reflection on CALL Course

Hey guys, how are you today? I hope you are well.

Today I will share my reflection on CALL Course.

Have you ever heard of CALL before?

CALL is an acronym for Computer-Assisted Language.

CALL is one of the courses I take in this class.

This course provides students with knowledge about teaching and learning English through the media of computers or information and communication technology.

This course is very interesting, really different from other courses. Before studying this course, I was wondering and confused, what are we going to study next? Or is this course important?

And after several months of following this course, it turns out that this course is the course that I like the most. Through this course, I can learn many things.

I can make games, make animations, make an interesting powerpoint, even write stories on a blog. It's a very interesting learning experience.

Through this course, I can learn how to teach in a fun way. Just for information, i've been teaching for 2 years. Sometimes I am confused about how to teach that is not boring, especially the material I teach is English, which this material must be taught in a fun way.

During the pandemic, I was a little confused and sometimes tired of having to teach online because of my limitations in technology. But through this course, I gained a lot of knowledge and it is very useful for me to use in my work, namely teaching.

What I don't like about this course is time. I feel this course is very important, so I feel short of time. I want this course to meet me again in the next semester.

There is nothing that needs to be improved, either in the courses or in the lecturers who teach them. Everything is perfect. I just want the quality of the material and the performance of the lecturers who teach the courses to be maintained.

The lecturer taught us in a funny and relaxed manner, not too tense. The lecturer gave us directions via google meet or zoom meeting clearly, then gave us assignments. The task is also a real task which is very useful to help work in reality.

In conclusion, I really like this course. And many thanks to our lecturer, Mrs. Euis Kurniasih, S.Pd, M.Hum.

Review of YouTube Channel

this time I will recommend the YouTube channel to learn English.

Nowadays, social media and technology are very advanced. You can learn English not only through books, but many other learning media that are very interesting and very useful for learning, such as YouTube.

Who here doesn't know YouTube? I'm sure everyone has used this application.

YouTube is a website designed for sharing videos. Millions of users from all over the world have created youtube accounts so they can start uploading videos for users all over the world to watch. 

Now I will recommend a very interesting YouTube channel for learning English.

THE NAME OF THE CHANNEL : NESSIE JUDGE

The creator is            : Nessie Judge

Nessie Judge's real name is Nasreen Anisputri Judge. She is better known as Nessie Judge in social media.

Nessie Judge is known as a youtube celebrity with different content from the others. Not only as a YouTuber, but he is also a model, singer, and celebrity in Indonesia. If most women create content with food vlogs, or makeup, fashion content, Nessie prefers to create horror content or what is commonly referred to as "NERROR".

Nessie Judge is also very proficient in English when presenting her video content, it's no wonder she often uses English.

Nessie's English accent is very good, making her fans ask her to share her experiences while learning English.

Her good voice and beautiful English accent, as well as his funny character, make the audience, including me is very happy and not bored watching his content about learning English.

I highly recommend this youtube channel for those of you who are easily bored and sleepy in studying like me.

Oxford Learner’s Dictionaries

This time I will review an English learning application.

Have you ever heard of Oxford Learner’s Dictionaries before?

Maybe one of the readers knows this book, but now there is an app, and you can even access the app without having to download it! You can open it via this link:

The Oxford Learner's Dictionary application can be downloaded from the play store/app store, but the drawback is that there are some facilities in the paid application.

In this application you can learn how to pronounce english vocabulary, not only american english but there is british too! Great right?

This application is very useful, so that when you speak English there is no mispronunciation.

If you say the vocabulary incorrectly, it can have different meanings!

Bahaya Kosmetik Palsu

Halo..

Kali ini kita akan membahas tentang kosmetik palsu, untuk yang membaca blog ini diharapkan untuk menyebarluaskan informasi ini.

Waktu saya kecil, saat masih SMP. Saya mulai genit dan mencoba berbagai macam make up. Khususnya make up milik ibu saya:)

Lalu saya pikir wah menyenangkan ya. 

Semenjak itu saya suka sekali dengan make up, seperti sedang menggambar.

Lalu saat saya SMA, saya mencoba bertanya kepada teman saya dimana tempat untuk membeli make up?

Karena wawasan kami yang minim soal make up, kami datang ke sebuah toko make up kecil di pinggir jalan. Disana ada berbagai macam lipstik.

Saya terpincut dengan lipstik bermerk KYLIE. Iya Kylie jenner yang itu, saya sangat suka dengannya. Jadi saat itu saya berpikir saya sangat hebat bisa membeli lipstik itu.

Lipstik itu seharga Rp 25000, aneh bukan?

Hehehehe.

Waktu itu saya sama sekali tidak paham dengan harga dan make up seperti itu.

Selama satu bulan saya pakai lipstik tsb, dan bibir saya menghitam. Iya hitam seperti orang yang merokok😭.

Lalu dua bulan kemudian, bibir saya kering dan terkelupas. Banyak sariawan di bibir mulai tumbuh. Rasanya sakit sekali..

Dan setiap kali saya menjilat bibir saya, ada rasa darah.

Semenjak itu saya tanya ke ibu saya, dan ibu saya juga kaget karena saya memakai kosmetik palsu. Memang salah saya sih, karena tidak minta saran terlebih dahulu.

Akhirnya semenjak itu saya berhenti memakainya dan lalu membuangnya.

Saya sangat bersyukur tidak terkena kanker bibir.

Bahaya Memakai Make up Kedaluwarsa

Hai hai..

Selamat sore para pembaca.

Nah kali ini saya ingin share pengalaman saya saat memakai makeup kedaluwarsa. Jangan ditiru ya!.

Makeup kedaluwarsa sering sekali kita jumpai sehari-hari. Khususnya di tempat makeup saya. 

Karena saya jarang makeup, akibatnya banyak makeup yang tidak terpakai dan sudah terlanjut exp.

Kali ini saya akan membahas bahaya memakai foundation kedaluwarsa untuk tubuh kita, khususnya bagian wajah.

Jika diberi pilihan lebih baik keluar uang lagi untuk beli foundation baru, atau pakai saja foundation yang lama (exp) karena sayang uang? Jadi lebih sayang sama uang atau sama wajah?.

Kalau saya lebih sayang dengan wajah saya, walaupun wajah saya tidak terlalu cakep juga sih :).

Jadi setelah memakai foundation exp ini karena dasar sayang untuk dibuang, wajah saya mulai berjerawat. Jerawat itu tumbuh dibagian yang tidak pernah tumbuh jerawat disana. Dan tumbuh sangat banyak, rasanya gatal sekali. Saya betul-betul kapok.

Efek timbulnya jerawat ini tidak timbul dalam sekali atau dua kali pakai yaa, ini timbuh setelah beberapa kali pakai. Padahal saya tidak sedang mencoba make up baru dan skincare baru, saya juga selalu minum air putih, tidak stress, dan tidak sedang datang bulan.

Tetapi jerawat itu tumbuh banyak sekali.

Sejak saat itu saya kapok dan lebih baik kehilangan uang daripada wajah saya sendiri.

How are you today? i hope you are fine.

Before we begin, let me introduce myself briefly. I’m Mutia Triana, i am a student from English education program. Today i’m going to be talking about my activities as English students, why i take English major at Unindra, and my goals after graduate from Unindra.

My activities during my time as an English student are as follows:

1. I always study, and i think learning English is very fun. Because unlike other lessons, English can be learned through music and movies.

2. Besides always studying, i am also an English teacher.

why did i take this field? because from a young age i liked English.

Starting from a song that i listen to on the internet, i think English is a beautiful language. So from then on i learned it myself, and i decided to enter the English education program because it seemed fun.

I chose Unindra as the university that i attended because, besides its location very close to my home, this University helped me financially. To be honest, if i wasn't in Unindra, i might not be able to go to college because of the limited cost.

My goals after graduating from Unindra are those i want to become a teacher in a school and open my foundation so that children who are less able like me can continue to learn.

Honestly, Unindra has inspired me.
